This is a bad change to automatically place the friendly robber. It should at least be an option that defaults to off. There is strategy in placing the friendly robber. I, for example, would never intentionally place it next to a tile where I’m attempting to build.
For example, here, I’m green, and the autorobber was placed in the blank tile. If I had placed it manually, I would’ve placed it adjacent to a tile where my opponent was attempting to build.
I agree with this so much. There is no reason to have it auto-place when placing it yourself is so seamless already.
