Explorers and pirates is a major expansion pack, and is my favorite of them all. Out of all the people I have met that play catan expansions, only two have played cities and knights, every single other person loves explorers and pirates instead. It is still easy to learn like base catan, but is no where near as convoluted as CK. It’s a fan favorite and i’d act consider getting the overpriced subscription had it also given me access to explorers and pirates.
