If I get 2nd place in a game, I should lose less rating points compared to 3rd, 4th, so on. This actually incentivizes people to play well too.
They won’t do that because it goes by rankings. If I am gold level and you are bronze level and we both lose to a bronze level opponent and you come in second and I come in 3rd, I lose a lot more points than you. Conversely if you’re bronze and you beat higher ranked opponents then you can earn 33 points vs me earning 22 points.
